I reinterpret the precious stone by shaping a block of clay that I break and facet in the image of a stone with exaggerated dimensions. It becomes precious by its position on a ring. The patience and attention that requires the application of the sigillas and the work of the porcelain make it a precious ceramic object. The stone is black, dense and heavy. Its base, which is the ring, is smooth, white and light. The size and weight of the stone are indicators of what they are for which they are intended. They are not meant to be worked, eaten or even worn in everyday life. These rings are made and worn to be displayed as a trophy. They are ceremonial jewelry.
